The house, the breaks, the group.
Taghazout Surf Trip runs from one house, so the day starts and ends in the same place. Breakfast is on the rooftop, the coaches have already read the swell chart, and the board rack by the door empties at whatever hour the conditions say rather than at a fixed one. Lunch is back at the house between sessions, or packed and carried on excursion days, and dinner is on the roof once the boards have been rinsed and racked.
Panorama, the sandy beach break where most first lessons happen, is a five-minute walk from the front door. The point breaks the guide covers, Anchor Point, Hash Point, Killer Point and Devil’s Rock, are a short drive north or south, which is why nobody has to change house to surf a different wave. Nothing is shuttled between towns: you sleep, eat and paddle out from the same building.
Full board is included every day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the kitchen adapts to any dietary requirement once you have told us. Towels and bed linen are provided, laundry is free, and the wifi is a 200 Mbps fibre line that holds up for a video call from the roof. There is a women-only shared room if you ask for it when you book, and a ground-floor room if stairs are a problem.
Most guests here have either never surfed or are coming back after a long gap, and most arrive on their own or in twos. That is why the house tends to eat together on the first night rather than the third.
